The Brief

Create a visual identity for the launch of a new global, talent-driven media brand that champions unfiltered, unapologetic, unparalleled entertainment by creators of color. Leverage the unmatched resources of Disney to launch a powerful brand that actively reshapes culture with immediate impact, winning an Oscar within its first year.


Visual Identity System

When I joined the team, the logo and 3D logo animation had already been established. Rooted in the natural world, I drew inspiration from these elements to further expand the ecosystem. Translating the 3D landscapes from the logo animation we created backplates, as well as a palette that draws colors from earth tones. Next, we transformed the logo into a 3D armature. Playing with camera angles we created cropped graphic elements that could continue to evolve with the brand.
